Q. What is an AEG?
A. An AEG is an AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC GUN. This means that your airsoft gun is powered by batteries.
Q. What is a GBB?
A. GBB stands for gas blowback. This means when you pull the trigger the slide(in pistols)/bolt(in rifles) cycles back and forth
Q. What weight BB should I use?
A. I depends on the power of your gun. If your FPS was below 250 your gun would perform better with .12g, anything above that all the way through to around 400FPS would perform better using .20g. From 400 through to 450 to 480 it would be better to use .25g anything higer use a weighter BB. (but it is all down to personal preference.)
Q. What gas should I use?
A. It all depends on the gun. If the slide of your pistol is made out of plastic, it is recommended to use a lower power gas such as ABBEY ULTRA, where as if you have a Metal slide it would be better to use a a higher power gas such as GREEN GAS. (Green Gas is not recommended for plastic slides as it could crack the slide and ruin your pistol!) In a rifle We believe green gas is the way to go in the UK.
Q. What is FPS?
A. FPS is FEET PER SECOND. This is the power of your gun.
Q. What is RPM?
A. RPM is ROUNDS PER MINUTE, The speed of your gun. Most AEG'S are designed to run on a 8.4volt battery. Using a 9.6volt will typically increase the rate of fire, and using a lower voltage battery will decrease the rate of fire. (CAUTION - Using a higher voltage battery will decrease the life of your gear box, if it isn't strengthened)
Q. What gun should I buy?
A. It is down to personnal preference and budget. If you like to be on the front line you cant go wrong with a decent AEG and GBB pistol. If you prefer to hang back and cover your team mates then a decent sniper is for you and a decent GBB pistol, or a sub machine gun. (E.G - MP5K) And if you really want to kick some ass, and use a few thousand rounds (per game), A heavy machine gun is the way to go, and always a GBB pistol as a side arm. (not that you should need it with a 3000 round drum mag at the disposal of your index figer.
